Our Pet Painting Project

Higgins has been engaged by builder Laing O’Rourke to paint the University of Queensland’s new School of Veterinary Science at Gatton. This world-class $80M project will be the most comprehensive animal research and teaching centre in Australia.

The project involves the construction of four new state-of-the-art buildings that will include a veterinary hospital operating as an equine and larger animal clinic, research and teaching facilities, a substation and a refurbished existing structure housing teaching laboratories.

The key challenges confronted by our team include management of multiple work fronts where the application of high end two-pack coatings to ceilings and walls is necessary due to the nature of the buildings plus achieving a fixed completion date enabling transfer of the existing St Lucia Campus school.
