Yarra’s Edge

Having successfully completed the enormous Melburnian project for Mirvac, Higgins Coatings was again the preferred painting management company for the exciting new Yarra’s Edge project.

As part of the ongoing redevelopment of Melbourne’s Docklands precinct that includes the impressive Telstra Dome, Yarra’s Edge extends the entire length of the riverfront incorporating some 10 towers.

Each tower features stunning views across Port Philip bay and consists of 30 floors including 160 apartments, four penthouse apartments and a six-storey carpark, where a who’s-who of Australian personalities, performers and former-politicians had purchased off-the-plan.

Higgins had been painting the interior of Building One for almost 12 months when work began on the exterior of Building Two.

A team of 15 painters had been intensely applying Dulux’s China White to every apartment surface for nearly a year with regular “toolbox” meetings to ensure that Higgins’ consistently high standards were maintained throughout the building at all times.
