Lethal Weapon – Movie World

Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast took a team of Higgins Coatings’ painters on the ride of their lives as they scaled the awesome Lethal Weapon – The Ride and set about painting it’s entire 765m of twisting, turning, double spinning and looping track

While they weren’t propelled at 85kmh experiencing the full 4Gs force of this incredibly popular ride that’s the only inverter in the country; a brief maintenance window was created for Higgins and other trades to bring the ride up to standard.

Over a 3 week period a team of 6-8 painters using several booms including a massive 120ft knuckle boom proceeded to address the high-use track by removing the top coat and repainting all surfaces using a durable Dulux 2-pack product.

All works were completed in a limited area to a tight deadline with the results exceptionally pleasing for client Movie World. Consequently, Higgins Coatings has also been busy at nearby Wet 'n' Wild.
