The Opera Centre in Sydney’s Surry Hills is the hub of Opera Australia. The former printing warehouse was converted in 1984 and now plays host to the country’s premier opera company who predominantly perform their internationally recognised productions at the iconic Opera House and Melbourne’s Arts Centre.

All elements of production are carried out under the Opera Centre’s roof including costume and jewellery manufacture, set design and construction, coaching, rehearsals and administration.

In the spirit of an innovative team effort with a dash of drama, Higgins Coatings went the extra distance to guarantee a particularly thorough, high quality maintenance and painting performance overseen by Project Supervisor, Andrew Winfield.

With no adequate anchor points to access difficult external areas, Higgins cost-effectively fixed anchors to the right areas allowing for immediate and general future maintenance. Adhering to strict OH&S procedures, our abseilers superbly painted this vibrant building in conjunction with scaffolding and machinery creating a bold new look befitting the company’s dynamic image.
