John Higgins
Chairman

John began at Higgins Coatings in 1978 after studying Economics at Latrobe University. John moved through all aspects of the family business to the stage where he was appointed Managing Director for 10 years, taking over from the founder Gerry Higgins. In 1997 John moved on to the role of Chairman so as to develop and grow the broad range of Higgins Family ventures.

Gerard Higgins
Managing Director

Gerard is Managing Director of Higgins Coatings maintaining a wide involvement in the industry and assuming overall responsibility for the Company. Prior to succeeding John Higgins in 1997, Gerard gained invaluable experience over 25 years working in all areas and every level of the business including sales, operations and estimating. Gerard’s vast industry knowledge and hands-on leadership style has seen the Company successfully expand and grow throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Rowan Galbraith
General Manager Australia and New Zealand

Rowan is responsible for Higgins Coatings throughout Australia and New Zealand including the Company’s strategic expansion. A specialist in the area of maintenance and long-term painting contracts; Rowan arrived at Higgins after some 27 years experience in the industry where he began as a Project Manager in Melbourne before spending many years in senior management positions including State Manager Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and General Manager New Zealand, General Manager Southern States and Chief Executive United Kingdom.

Rowan’s knowledge of operations and the new markets to which we are expanding is invaluable in directing and driving our Growth.

Graham Laurence
BBus (Acc) FCPA, Chief Financial Officer

Graham is responsible for the financial function of the Higgins Coatings business in Australia and New Zealand. With a distinguished background of more than 20 years in finance across a range of industries, Graham brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the Company working closely with the Management group to improve our financial performance.

Neil Thompson
HR Manager

With over 20 years in Human Resources in a variety of industries, Neil brings broad experience to Higgins in HR and OH&S across Australia and New Zealand. As a crucial member of our senior team, Neil works strategically with management to ensure we have the right people with the right attitude and skills to support our Clients and take advantage of business opportunities. He also works directly with our operational people to ensure our recruiting, training, support and retention processes are cutting edge and that OH&S considerations are first and foremost in everything that we do.

Neil’s commitment to our people and hands on style in supporting them to strive for excellence and develop exciting careers has enabled Higgins to remain as the employer of choice in our industry.

Robert Loncar
National Sales Manager

Robert has accumulated over 20 years of diverse industry experience that has provided the perfect preparation for his role overseeing Higgins Coatings' commercial repaint division managing a team of experienced Sales Executives and Estimators. Robert’s work in the roads, defence, petrochemical and building areas complements a wealth of specialised knowledge in QA, OH&S and maintenance programs.
