The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
Constructed by Thiess Contractors, Australia’s largest hospital, the Royal Prince Alfred, was Higgins’ biggest Sydney project at the time and required the team, often dressed in sterile theatre suits, to be working in newly built and refurbished areas.
The challenging project required detailed coordination with hospital management, Thiess and other trades to run efficiently and effectively.
The 11-storey East Campus has a helipad on the roof and Higgins made certain the right heavy duty paints were chosen for the landing area and safety rails.
With safety being Higgins’ number one priority, there was happily no requirement to use the hospital’s world renowned facilities.
