Higgins recently brought together the entire management and sales team for its annual National Sales Conference. Lancemore Hill in Victoria was the setting for an amazing 3 days of learning, discussion and improvement.

As the conference theme suggests, the aim was to, Turn Vision into Action, by discussing ideas, concepts and putting them into place to improve how we operate as a business. Over the 3 days we were given food for thought by a number of interesting presenters:

Michael Hewitt Gleeson Provided an interactive experience which was not only entertaining, provocative and empowering, but participants came away from the master class with a life enhancing insight into CVS2BVS they can use every day from now on, to upgrade the quality of the rest of their life.

Monroe Porter – Proof Management Higgins have flown Monroe in from the USA on a number of occasion. His  session provided detailed instruction and techniques to improve our listening skills. Participants learnt the art of managing interpersonal communications. The skill session dramatically changed our ability to identify, deal with and overcome day-to-day work related problems.

Ned Gregory – Tebu  Participants enjoyed a number of interactive challenges designed to promote communication, planning and negotiating skills. The exercises tested our skills, resolve and creativity via a number of low impact challenges.

Tim Jamieson – Dulux Our corporate sponsor Dulux provided an overview on the Australian Coatings industry. The informative session provided a great insight into the coatings industry, highlighting new developments and concepts.

Mary Barlow -  Mary’s session focused on leadership at Higgins with three main objectives:

Increase understanding of what leadership is and how it impacts on business performance. Enabled us to review as a group, how well we are doing on the leadership front at Higgins and how it could be enhanced. Provided data that will help each individual to reflect on their personal leadership effectiveness and how it could be enhanced.
