Wonderful Finish to The Women’s
The Royal Women’s Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility offering the highest international standards of health care. Constructed by Baulderstone Hornibrook for Victoria’s Department of Human Services, the hospital is $250million 9-level standalone building in Melbourne’s Parkville medical precinct.
Containing 160 beds, 60 neo-natal cots, 17 birthing suites and 5 operating theatres; Higgins carried out the painting works under difficult circumstances working on many faces. Site Foreman Steve Micallef and the team worked diligently utilizing scissor lifts to complete the interior of the new hospital and the finish was exceptional.
The high quality performance at the Royal Women’s has provided an excellent resume for Higgins Coatings to procure other hospital work including the current major project at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
