400 Victoria Parade
The massive apartment development at 400 Victoria Parade in East Melbourne is an elite city-fringe residential complex of over 400 units overlooking several substantial garden courtyards. While relatively modern, the buildings' exteriors started showing signs of deterioration.
This huge project would require a super effort in terms of expertise, logistics and safety to successfully rectify all issues and ensure the complex was protected against the elements for a long time to come. Higgins Coatings was up to the challenge.
Accessing many areas in the development that ranged from 5 to 12 floors high was addressed by a crane on the street depositing the relevant equipment including swinging stages and booms inside. Before the repaint began, the team made plenty of repairs to water damaged corbels and rust-spotted render.
Commercial Sales Estimator Neil Bewley and Project Supervisor Derek Stephens and the professional team worked tirelessly over 4 months meeting regularly with the client, applying strict OH&S standards onsite and applying a suitable finish to all exterior surfaces that this time is sure to last.
